Director of Scribes
Is an award-winning web and digital consultant. In the last of years he has project-managed for the multiple award-winning Rabbit agency, where he ran several campaigns and events for national and global clients, winning PRCA’s “Best Campaign” award for AVG’s Digital Diaries series. He also trained their team in community management – they went on to win Agency of the Year in 2012. Ben now trains and consults for national & global brands.
Director of Scriveners
Has worked in digital marketing, SEO and communications since 2004. Notably he worked as an award-winning AdWords optimiser at Google’s EMEA HQ advising companies from SME to multi-national. He also ran Online Communications for Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg prior to and through the 2010 election. Since then he’s been a Digital Analytics and Communications Consultant for multiple organisations, including currently for the British Medical Association.
Described as a “Social Media Hellraiser” by The New York Times, Jon Morter is best known for his gatecrashing of the music industry in 2009 with his phenomenal ‘Rage Against The Machine for Xmas #1‘ campaign, sweeping Rap/Metal band Rage Against The Machine into the sought after UK Christmas No.1 spot. He has since worked with Nirvana, the Sex Pistols, Rod Stewart, The Rolling Stones, and once again created a Christmas No.1 in 2012 for The Justice Collective. In addition to being a key member of the Save 6Music campaign, Jon is also infamous for creating the ‘Condescending Corporate Brand Page’, and has won multiple awards for his social media and charity work.
Andrew Walker is a digital strategy consultant, author and speaker. Over the last eighteen years he’s co-founded three successful technology startups, was the first person to interview senior UK politicians on Twitter, created data mining systems, helped set-up the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP), reported on elections for the BBC, been a guest technology expert on Sky News and radio (BBC R4 Today, PM, World at One, World Have Your Say) and written in newspapers (Independent, Guardian) and magazines (Linux User, .Net, WebUser) about digital technology, business and culture
Phil is a Google veteran, bringing with him 10 years experience on the Google Earth & Maps team. He has been a key advocate for GIS technology, web-based marketing and community development. His work holds digital marketing at its core by promoting passionate user-driven communities, empowering product pioneers and curating social media content for millions of subscribers, all for one of the world’s most recognisable brands.
Jess Angell is a globally-renowned Instagram photographer and expert, in addition to being the co-founder and manager of both Instagram London and Instagram UK communities. Jess has also advised a host of businesses from startups to global brands on how to build an authentic fan-base and engage users on Instagram, creating campaigns, contests and events. She is also an accomplished trainer and event speaker.
Jonathan works at the fulcrum of brands and entertainment, creating seamlessly integrated, engaging content that resonates with the audiences. Through an extensive network of contacts he has worked on over 1,000 productions from Inception, and The Bourne Ultimatum, through to BBC1’s Line of Duty, ITVs Downton Abbey, and C4s Hollyoaks. This knowledge and experience is complimented by a detailed understanding of the connection between the audience and the online communities that populate around entertainment properties. He has consulted, devised and implemented community engagement strategies around for UK production companies and media agencies as well as specific projects such as 2014’s Svengali.
